Invitation for Expression of Interest:

 To operate Waterfront Restaurants at Velana International Airport

 Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has decided to develop and operate six (06) waterfront restaurants at Velana International Airport. The restaurants shall be located at the jetty area in front of the Domestic Terminal. MACL invites all interested parties to submit their Expression Of Interest to operate internationally reputed brands as stated in the table below.

Space provided includes seating area, kitchen and storage area.

Registration

Interested parties are requested to register on or before 1500hrs of 31^st January 2017. Parties may register by written letter or via email ([email protected]). Registration can only be done for the brands mentioned above.

Documents to be submitted along with registration letter/email:

• Company Registration Certificate
• Taxpayer Registration
• Submitting Brand’s Franchise License or Letter from the Brand that Franchise application is in processing.
• Contact Number and Email ID
• Interested Concept for bidding

One party is eligible and may express interest to one or more concepts.

Parties interested in operating the Waterfront Restaurants must acquire the franchise license for the respective brand. The party may acquire the franchise license before or after the expression of interest to operate the restaurants.

Only parties who have registered for expression of interest will receive the Bid Document and be eligible for submission of their Proposals.

Requirements to qualify for the Tender Evaluation Process

1. MACL intends to send out the RFP to February 2017, to interested parties who registered with MACL.
2. Applicant must be a Sole Proprietorship, Limited Liability Partnership or a Limited Liability Company or document that states the party is in the process of acquiring the license.
3. Applicant must have a restaurant in operation and have acquired the franchise license for the brand.
4. Applicant must NOT be a party who has been listed for unpaid dues to MACL or any other government entities.
5. Applicant must NOT have any pending, active, or previous legal action that prevents the Bidder from submitting the Bid, executing Agreement or fulfilling the conditions of the Agreement.
6. Applicant must be a going-concern and be able to submit audited financial records for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. (Applicants who are sole proprietors or limited liability partnerships must also have their financial reports audited by a certified external auditor)
