Request for Expressions of Interest

Financial Officer (FO)

The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment (ME) is implementing “Water Supply Systems” financed by Green Climate Fund (GCF) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the services of a full time Financial Officer (FO) for the financial management of water projects administered by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP).

The objective of this assignment includes setting up project’s finance and accounting system in accordance with the donor agency guidelines and ensure timely preparation of project financial recording and reporting relevant authorities.

The Ministry of Environment and Energy now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit their application letter, CV, including information that demonstrates their qualification to perform the services (description of similar assignments and experience in similar conditions, familiarity with appropriate skills, reference, education certificates and national identity card/passport copy etc).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the position the individual is expected to demonstrate the requirements as per the attached ‘Terms of Reference”

Schedule for the Assignment

Duration of the assignment is 24 months from the commencement of the works with potential extension based on performance and need. The successful candidate is expected to commence the services in Feb 2019.

Renumeration

Successful individual will be paid an all-inclusive monthly fee of MVR 20,160 – 30,240 depending on education and experience
