1. Republic of the Maldives has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Preparing Outer Islands for Sustainable Energy Development Project. Part of this Grant will be used for payments under the contract named above.
2. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Republic of Maldives , on behalf of Ministry of Environment and Energy, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Design, Supply, Installation of 8 MW of Diesel Generator in Male’ the Capital City of Maldives on turnkey basis.
3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two Envelope bidding procedure.
4. The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of USD 100.00 (United States Dollar One Hundred) fromAugust 12, 2015 to September 27, 2015 between 0830hrs and 1430hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv.

6. A pre-bid meeting will be held on August 27, 2015 at 1100 hours Maldivian time at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury.
7. Any clarifications to the bid may be sent to above given mail addresses on or before September 3, 2015, Thursday at 1400 hours.
8. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount as stated in Bidding Document which shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid.
9. Bids shall be valid for a period of 180 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified below for Bids, on or before1100 hoursMaldivian time on September 28, 2015, Monday at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening.
