The Maldives Agribusiness Program (MAP) is a five-year project with the objective of developing the agribusiness sector in the Maldives. The Government of Maldives (GoM) through the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare (MoAAW) is implementing the project with financing from International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD). The programme is aimed at introducing and training farmers to adopt climate smart and sustainable farming practices using modern agricultural technologies.  This program is targeted to 26 islands of North Thiladhummathi, South Thiladhummathi and North Miladhunmadulu. One of the main objectives of the programme is to install greenhouses, train famers and further facilitate the adoption of this technique of farming by providing financial assistance to farmers through our matching grant mechanism.

In this regard, MAP is in the process of establishing a potential vendor registry who can supply the items needed for climate smart agriculture production systems (including greenhouses, irrigation systems, agriculture inputs and fertigation systems etc). Through this registry MAP aims to compile a list of suppliers to provide to potential buyers so as to ease the process of procuring the mentioned production systems.

Maldives Agribusiness Program (MAP) invites reliable and experienced parties to register their names/ businesses to supply the above mentioned items. Hence suppliers who are interested in supplying and registering their names shall send the name, contact number and email address to [email protected]. Registration for this shall remain open until 15^th May 2024 before 14:00hrs
