The Government of Maldives (GoM) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Digital Maldives for Adaptation, Decentralization and Diversification (DMADD) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the contract for the services of an Individual consultant to coordinate the improvement of regulatory frameworks, oversight, and enforcement for a competitive broadband market.
The Consultant will work intermittently with the Project Management Unit (PMU) and CAM as Consultant to provide technical and regulatory assistance to coordinate the improvement of regulatory frameworks, oversight, and enforcement for a competitive broadband market, Subcomponent 1.1 of the DMADD project.
The Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy (MoCCEE) now invites eligible individuals to submit their “Expression of Interest” (EOI). Interested individuals should provide a CV including information that demonstrates that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.)
The Candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering. With a minimum of 5-7 years of practical experience in network engineering or related field.
- Candidates with industry-recognized professional certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ will have an added advantage.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in both English and Dhivehi
Requirements:
- Letter of Expression of Interest
- Curriculum Vitae (clearly stating the starting and ending month and year for previous experiences)
- Copy of National ID Card
- Copy of Police Clearance Certificate
- Copies of Accredited Academic Certificates
- Employment Verification Letter from previous employer(s), detailing the work and duration of the responsibilities
The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in The World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers; Procurement in Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services; Fifth Edition dated September 2023.
