Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is an ISO and OHSAS Certified multi-disciplinary Engineering and Manufacturing organization mainly involves in providing Utility and Manufacturing related products and services to the Maldives.

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is desirous in employing a Contractor for the work of Docking and Servicing of MWSC Marine 1 and Marine 5. (One vessel at a time will be released for docking)

Scope of Work

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. is desirous in employing a CONTRACTOR for the work of Docking and Servicing of MWSC Marine 1 and Marine 5. The scope of work includes;

• Sand Blasting the whole vessel – Full Hull, deck, wheel house, ramp and bridge.
• Painting the whole outside of the wheelhouse and bridge.

-          Primer red oxide – 2 layer (Brand: SIGMA )

-          Finishing paint-  2 layer (Color: White / Brand: SIGMA )

• Painting the whole vessel including the sides, bottom, inside the deck area, ramp and deck.

-          Red Primer – 2 layer (Brand: SIGMA )

-          Tigh coat SIGMA TCM300 – 1 layer

-          Anti-fouling – 2 layer (Brand: SIGMA )

-          Finishing paint-  2 layer  (Color: Green / Brand: SIGMA )

• Cleaning and painting all the fuel and fresh water tanks.

-          Gas free the Fuel Tanks

-          Washing both fuel/water tanks using adequate detergent

-          Sand Blasting both fuel/water tanks

-          Applying Red Primer– 1 layer (Brand: SIGMA ) in both fuel/water tanks

-          Applying cement layer in all water tanks – Rust Free

• Installation of Anodes on the vessel

-          Contractor must provide the size and quantity of the anodes required. MWSC will purchase the anodes separately and Contractor must install the anodes.

• Renewal wooden flooring on the deck of the vessel including the ramp.

-          Installation of hardwood on the full deck area and ramp.

• Check and repair the shafts and propellers of both engines.

-          Both engine shafts and Propellers must be examined and repaired/serviced accordingly.

• Winch Gear repair or service– Anchor

-          Both winches of the vessel must work after repair.

• Contractor should provide fresh water inlet and sewer connection outlet connection to the vessel.

Qualification Information & Requirement

Interested and competent contractors wishing to carry out the above project must submit the following documents.

• Business Registration Certificate at Economic Ministry
• Mira Tax Clearance (within 6 months)
• GST Registration
• The vendor must have their own dockyard and should not be out sourced to a third party.
• Vendor must have been in service of docking for at least 5 years.
• Vendor must provide MWSC officials access to dockyard at any time for inspections.
• Vendor must take responsibility for any damages caused to any of our vessels, staffs or equipment due to vendor’s negligence or carelessness.
• Vendor must possess all equipment’s and machineries required to attend the repair works mentioned in the scope of work.

c)      Generators to Power up the vessel and equipment

d)      Winches or equivalent safety equipment to slip the vessels

e)      Welding Plant

f)       Balloons for slipping the vessel

g)      Excavator

h)      Tower Crane

i)       Material Fabrication services

• While painting the following coating must be applied.

a)      Red Primer – 2 layer

b)      Tigh coat – 1 layer

c)      Anti-fouling – 2 layer

d)      Finishing paint - 2 layer

• Colour codes to apply for the finishing paint layer will be selected by MWSC.
• Primer, Anti-fouling and Finishing paint must be selected from ‘SIGMA’ brand of paint.
• Apart from above, contractors may submit any documents, information that may be necessary to prove their qualification for the work.

Those who wish to participate in the tender must pay a non-refundable participation fee of MVR 500. Interested candidates shall register for the tender through MWSC website https://www.mwsc.com.mv/Tenders/page/1 and fill out the tender form to proceed with the payment for registration. Payment must be made on or before 04^th May 2024.

Each bidder shall furnish a bid security in the amount of MVR 10,000/-. Successful bidder shall furnish to the Employer a performance Bank Guarantee in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract sum within Fourteen (14) days of receipt of the notification of award from the Employer.
