A second amendment has been brought to the standards and Labelling program for electrical appliances (Hakathari Program). Changes have been brought to Refrigerator registration, “Form 3 – Details of the test results refrigerator”. The prescribed test under Hakathari Program now is only “Energy Consumption test”. “Pull down temperature test” has been removed from requirements.

Although this change is brought to “Form 3 – Details of the test results refrigerator”, the technical standards, minimum standards, and Energy efficiency grading procedure followed for energy efficiency labelling of refrigerators remain the same.
