Electrician (x 2)

Requirement / Qualifications:

Completed diploma or advanced certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering; and/or

5 years of experience as an Electrician in a related field.

Key responsibilities: 

• Oversee and handle all the electrical, refrigeration and air-conditioning work.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

• Inspect electrical systems, refrigeration & a/c systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using appropriate testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

• Direct and train the electrical works staff to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• Direct and train the electrical works staff to install, maintain, or repair refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and fixtures.

• Maintain records and files, prepare reports and order supplies and equipment.

• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.

• Aid during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators etc.

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of electrical equipment and refrigeration & a/c system.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

• Able to manage time and prioritize.

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Salary:

MVR 7,150/- plus additional allowances as per company policy.
