Invitation for Bids

Supply of 18 Circuit Distribution Box (Enclosure)

1. State Electric Company Ltd (STELCO) wishes to re-tender the Supply of 18 Circuit Distribution Box (Enclosure)dated 24.03.2016 due to the high prices received. STELCO invites sealed Bids from interested and eligible Bidders for the above mentioned tender.

2. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested and eligible Bidders from STELCO’s head office in Male’, from 25^th May 2016 to 07^th June 2016 between 09:00hrs to 15:00hrs and during Ramadan 10:30Hrs to 13:30Hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$50.00 (United States Dollars Fifty only) or MVR 800/- (Eight Hundred Maldivian Rufiyaa only) in cash or telegraphic transfer directly to our head office. Overseas Bidders shall pay additional US$50.00 (United States Dollars Fifty only) if they require the documents to be delivered to their mailing address. Documents shall be issued from 25^th May 2016 to 07^th June 2016 between 09:00hrs to 15:00hrs and during Ramadan 10:30Hrs to 13:30Hrs on all working days.

• Only Bidders who purchase the Bidding document can participate and thus the document is not transferable.

3. The Bid Validity shall be minimum Sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening. All Bids shall be accompanied with a Bid Security of US$1,297.02 (United States Dollars One Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Seven / Penny Two only) or MVR 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Maldivian Rufiyaa only) which is valid for Thirty (30) days beyond the validity of the bid. The Performance Security shall be 15% of the Bid Price. Bid Security and Performance Security shall be either a bank guarantee letter (as per the format in the bid document), bank certified cheque or bank draft.

4. A pre-bid meeting shall be held on Thursday, 09^th June 2016 at 12:00hrs local time at STELCO Head Office, 2^nd Floor meeting room.

5. All Bids shall reach STELCO head office on or before, Tuesday, 14^th June 2016 at 12:00 hrs.

6. The Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelope and addressed as follows:

• STELCO shall not be liable for the misplacement or premature opening for the unlabeled sealed Bids.

7. Bids shall be opened on Tuesday, 14^th June 2016 at 11:00 hrs, at STELCO Head Office, 2^nd Floor meeting room, in the presence of those Bidders or Bidder’s representatives who wish to attend the session.

8. - Important Note: It is in STELCO’s discretion to reject/cancel any bid which does not fulfil or comply the above terms, at anytime during the bid evaluation process. Also it is in STELCO’s discretion to cancel this invitation to bid at any time.
