Supply of 03 Nos. of 2000KVA Cummins Diesel Generator sets with transformer, switch board and other accessories (H-2014/172 dated 28.08.2014)

1. This is to inform all the bidders who wish to participate in the above referred tender that we the dates to purchase the bidding document has been changed. This invitation for bid is opened for both local and international bidders.

2. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested and eligible Bidders from STELCO’s head office in Male’, from 28^th August 2014to17^th September 2014 between 09:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$200.00 (United States Dollars Two Hundred only) or equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa in cash or telegraphic transfer directly to our head office. Overseas Bidders shall pay additional US$50.00 (United States Dollars Fifty only) if they require the documents to be delivered to their mailing address. Documents shall be issued from 10^th September 2014to17^th September 2014 between 09:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs on all working days.

• Only Bidders who purchase the Bidding document can participate and thus the document is not transferable.
• Preference would be given to parties who offer credit facility and accepts payment in Maldivian rufiyaa.

3. The Bid Validity shall be minimum Fifty (50) days from the date of Bid opening. All Bids shall be accompanied with a Bid Security of MVR 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Rufiyaa) or equivalent in United States Dollar, which is valid for 20 days beyond the validity of the bid. The Performance Security shall be 15% of the Bid Price. Bid Security and Performance Security shall be either a bank guarantee letter (as per the format in the bid document), bank certified cheque or bank draft.

4. A pre-bid meeting shall be held on Wednesday, 17^th September 2014 at 13:00 hrs local time at STELCO Head Office, 2^nd Floor meeting room.

5. All Bids shall reach STELCO head office on or before Wednesday, 24^th September 2014, at 13:00 hrs.

6. The Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelope and addressed as follows:

• STELCO shall not be liablefor the misplacement or premature opening for the unlabeled sealed Bids.

7. Bids shall be opened on Wednesday, 24^th September 2014, at 13:00 hrs, at STELCO Head Office, 2^nd Floor meeting room, in the presence of those Bidders or Bidder’s representatives who wish to attend the session.

8.   - Important Note: It is in STELCO’s discretion to reject/cancel any bid which does not fulfil or comply the above terms, at anytime during the bid evaluation process. Also it is in STELCO’s discretion to cancel this invitation to bid at any time.
