Invitation for Bids

Re-tender for the Supply & Installation of a Financial Accounting Software for STELCO.

1. State Electric Company Ltd (STELCO) wishes to re-tender the Supply & Installation of a Financial Accounting Software for STELCO,tender ref no: H-2013/247A as the received proposals doesn’t fulfill the technical requirement.  

2. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested and eligible Bidders from STELCO’s head office in Male’, from 07th September 2014 to 21st September 2014 between 09:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD 100.00 (United States Dollars One Hundred only) or equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa in cash, by telegraphic transfer or directly to our head office. Overseas Bidders shall pay additional US$50.00 (United States Dollars Fifty only) if they require the documents to be delivered to their mailing address. Documents shall be issued from 09th September 2014 to 21st September 2014 between 09:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on all working days.

  • Only Bidders who purchase the Bidding document can participate and thus the document is not transferable.

3. The Bid validity shall be minimum Fifty (50) days from the date of Bid opening. All Bids shall be accompanied with a Bid Security of MVR 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Rufiyaa) or equivalent in United States Dollar, which is valid for 20 days beyond the validity of the bid. Bid Security shall be either a bank certified cheque, bank draft or a letter of irrecoverable guarantee. The Performance Security shall be 15% of the Bid Price.

4. A pre-bid meeting shall be held on Thursday, 18th September 2014 at 11:30 hrs local time at STELCO Head Office, 2nd Floor meeting room.

5. All Bids shall reach STELCO head office on or before Tuesday, 30th September 2014, at 11:30 hrs.

6. The Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelope and addressed as follows:

  • STELCO shall not be liablefor the misplacement or premature opening for the unlabeled sealed Bids.

7. Bids shall be opened on Tuesday, 30th September 2014, at 11:30 hrs, at STELCO Head Office, 2nd Floor meeting room, in the presence of those Bidders or Bidder’s representatives who wish to attend the session.

8.  - Important Note: It is in STELCO’s discretion to reject/cancel any bid which does not fulfil or comply the above terms, at anytime during the bid evaluation process. Also it is in STELCO’s discretion to cancel this invitation to bid at any time.

-    In a state under 8:01 of “Maaliayathu Gavaidhu -8:01- point 7”, bidder shall submit all the relevant documents mentioned in the clause “8:01 – point 7 with the bid document.
