Temporary Research Enumerator

Job opportunity  (Temporary Research Enumerators)

The COVID-19 pandemic caused unprecedented levels of disruption to education and necessitated switching to remote learning. Although the system was not adequately prepared for such a switch, learning for children had to be provided with available resources and different technology-based modalities.  As such, MoE decided to provide online learning and distance learning through televised lessons for Foundation Stage to Key Stage 5.  Even at the planning stage it was anticipated that formidable equity challenges could exist for online learning, including lack of teaching-learning devices and internet connectivity for students and teachers.  It was also challenging to provide remote learning to children in pre-primary and children with disabilities and hence, it was left to the schools to initially start with the most conducive modalities.

Therefore, Ministry of Education, UNICEF, National Bureau of Statistics and Care Society are in partnership to conduct a monitoring exercise through a survey to obtain an insight into the students’ access and engagement in online learning after disruption to education and switching to new methods of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
