CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR MEDICAL DEPARTMENT

1.     Background

Aasandha Company Ltd is a State-owned Enterprise (SOE) with a mandate of implementing and managing the universal health insurance of the government of Maldives, Husnuvaa Aasandha Scheme.  

The company is seeking a qualified Medical Consultant to provide consultancy for Medical department.

2.     Scope of work

The Medical Consultant is expected to:

(a)  Provide technical assistance and professional advice to Medical team when taking decisions regarding procedure/treatments.

(b) Provide technical support to Medical team whenever needed in taking decisions in sending patients abroad for the treatment or evacuating a patient from one island to another.

(c)  Attend monthly meetings with medical team to discuss challenging cases and advise on how to improve work, based on experience.

(d) Attend meetings with medical team for discussion of issues related to Medical & Empanelment departments.

3.     Duration

1 year

4.     Payment terms

Payment to the Medical Consultant will be settled based on attended cases.

5.     Eligibility

Eligible Medical Consultants should have:

• MD Internal Medicine or MD Ophthalmology
• Actively working in OPD and IPD area in a tertiary level hospital. Years of work-experience will be taken into consideration in the selection.
