The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Tourism and Environment has received financing from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract under the contract “Eliminating Persistent Organic Pollutants Through the Sound Management of Chemicals” for the project “Establishment of Cytotoxic Waste Management Facility in Addu City”. The Ministry now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for this project.

Bid Security
The bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 5,000 (Five Thousand Rufiyaa) for the project. The bid security shall be valid for 60 days from the date of the bid opening.
Bid Validity and Bid Opening
Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, before 10:00 AM Maldivian Time on 23rd March 2026. Late bids will be rejected.
The bids will be opened at 10:05AM on 23rd March 2026 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
