MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT
• Degree in a relevant field with minimum 1 year of experience in related field.
• Experience will be considered only upon submission of an official reference letter explicitly stating the duration of employment
OVERALL SCOPE
Support ecological and environmental assessment and management activities through field studies, species identification, environmental monitoring, technical reporting, stakeholder coordination, and accurate documentation to meet project and regulatory objectives.
SCOPE OF WORK
• Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Maldives.
• Conduct terrestrial and marine ecological studies.
• Assist in the study, identification, classification, and reporting of plant and animal species, in coordination with relevant authorities.
• Support the implementation of controlled trials to manage and propagate flora and fauna within built and natural environments.
• Prepare environmental resource management plans.
• Assist in ecological and environmental monitoring activities, including air quality assessments, beach condition surveys, and coastal and lagoon ecosystem monitoring.
• Coordinate with relevant personnel and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective completion of assigned tasks.
• Ensure proper documentation, data management, and reporting of all activities.
JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Possession of a valid and active Category A Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Practicing License.
• Certified Advanced Scuba Diver or higher qualification.
• Proficient in ArcGIS and/or QGIS for spatial data analysis and mapping.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D for technical drawings and environmental planning support.
• Must be CPCe / coral net proficient with reasonable level of identification competency for marine benthic and fish life forms.
• Should be well-organized, detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and proactive.
• Should be able to prioritize tasks and manage one's own time effectively.
• Should be able to work as an individual and team player.
SALARY PACKAGE
Negotiable based on educational qualification and experience.
