Job Announcement – Chief Executive Officer

Payment Maldives Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary company of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) is seeking a dynamic, performance-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO), capable of strategically and innovatively providing leadership through effective management, strategic planning and execution. The successful candidate will ensure professionalism, integrity and accountability while equipping the team with the right knowledge, competencies, and skills to drive the company’s growth. The CEO will report to the Board of Directors of Payment Maldives Pvt Ltd and is responsible for leading all the core functions of Payment Maldives.

Work Location

8 am – 4 pm (Sunday to Thursday)

Official Working Hours

Education:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in fields such as Finance, Economics, IT, Law, Public Policy, or Business Administration from an established institution.
  • Professional certifications in areas such as finance, risk, information security, payments, or governance are advantageous.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in senior roles within payments, fintech, banking or a regulated financial service.
  • At least 5-7 years in executive leadership (e.g., CEO, MD, COO, CFO) with full P&L responsibility and Board reporting.
  • Proven experience in Fintech, Payments, Banking, or Financial Services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling a business, managing P&L, and driving operational transformation.
  • Familiarity with the Maldivian or similar small-island financial and regulatory context is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in overseeing major technology projects or payment product development is a strong asset.
