The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation invites interested parties to submit proposals for establishing and operating helicopter services in the Maldives, with a primary focus on providing efficient commercial passenger transportation for tourists, emergency medical evacuation and search and rescue operations across the country's islands and atolls. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and support the growth of the tourism industry through reliable helicopter transfers.
The Ministry intends to enter into an exclusive 10-year agreement with the successful respondent, granting them sole rights to conduct commercial helicopter passenger operations in the Maldives, subject to the terms of the contract. As part of this arrangement, the operator will also support government requirements for emergency medical services and search and rescue operations.
The Ministry seeks experienced operators capable of delivering high-quality helicopter services tailored to the unique challenges of the Maldives. Interested parties are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals demonstrating their ability to meet these objectives.
