Job Description / Role

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) shall be responsible for the development and implementation of an enterprise risk management system appropriate for IASL. Upon implementation of such a system, CRO shall continuously monitor the system to ensure effectiveness. Furthermore, CRO shall work with the management to minimise potential risks, align risk management with business objectives, enhance reputation, improve decision making and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and establish a comprehensive and robust risk management system appropriate for the company.
  • Manage policies and documentation related to enterprise risk management, including risk policy and risk register.
  • Provide advice on the company's overall risk appetite, tolerance and strategy in line with the company's business objectives.
  • Manage and carry out the day-to-day activities associated with risk management process throughout the company.
  • Continuous monitoring of risk management activities throughout the company, including action plans in response to the identified risks.
  • Communicate critical risk management information to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular awareness and training sessions on risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management/Accounting/Finance or relevant field.
  • Masters level Degree in relevant field/Certification in Enterprise Risk Management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in relevant field (with minimum 2 years’ experience in risk management/compliance).
  • Minimum 5 years senior management experience in a corporate environment.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written Dhivehi and English
