Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all machinery during his watch according to watch instructions
• The Third Engineer’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Proper maintenance of boilers and associated equipment, such as valves, level gauges, safety valves, boiler water treatment procedures, soot blowers etc.
  • Proper maintenance of cooling water treatment main engine
  • Checking and proper running of lifeboat motors
  • Overhaul of start air and fuel valves for main engine and auxiliary engine
  • Proper maintenance and operation of emergency generator and emergency fire pump, including weekly running test
  • He may be called upon for standby and at any time as circumstances may require

Required Qualifications

• Valid Medical Certificate, Passport, CDC, COC, PSSR, EFA, PST, FPFF, SAT, SDSD, MFS, PSCRB, AOT

Preferred Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Valid Police Report
