INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

HIRING A PARTY TO PURCHASE ALL THE AUCTION ITEMS AT STATE TRADING ORGANIZATION PLC

State Trading Organization Plc (STO) invites interested and eligible parties to meet the requirements set out in this announcement to submit a written Expression of Interest (EOI) to purchase all the auction items at State Trading Organization Plc.

The shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a more detailed proposal through a restricted Request for Proposal process. This initiative reflects STO’s ongoing commitment to the transparent and sustainable disposal of surplus and obsolete items, in alignment with our corporate sustainability goals and efforts to optimize resources.

1.  Auction Items Types

1.1   Used goods and materials.

1.2   Damaged goods and materials.

1.3   Scrap materials.

2.  The Eligible Tenderers are limited to:

2.1   The applicant must not be a Blacklisted / Default/ Legal Customer of State Trading Organization Plc. or any subsidiaries of State Trading Organization Plc.

2.2   The applicant must not be blacklisted or debarred by the Ministry of Finance and Planning and must not have any unresolved issues with the Ministry of Economic Development or Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA.

3.  Required documents for registration:

3.1   Relevant Business Registration Certificate.

3.2   Relevant Tax Registration Certificate.

3.3   Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association (if applicable).

3.4   Business Information Sheet (Ministry of Economic Development). 

3.5   Bank Details. 

3.6   Copies of Identity Cards or Passports of Business Shareholders/Owners.

3.7   MIRA Tax Clearance Report.

3.8   Work Completion letters / Reference letters.

 4.  Tendering Process

Registration & bid document: Tenderers can register via email to [email protected] along with the company certificates and documents required to verify the eligibility criteria.

Deadline for registration: 30^th September 2025, 2 PM (Maldives Time)

Only eligible tenderers can participate in the tender.

A complete set of Bidding Document in English will be sent via email only to the parties who have successfully registered and are eligible under the tender.
