Announcement: Sport Arbitration Regional Seminar, Abu Dhabi

The Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for participation in the Sport Arbitration Regional Seminar, organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), to be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 11 -12 October 2025.The MOC will be accepting applications from a maximum of four (4)participants to represent the Maldives at this seminar.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 years of professional legal experience.
• Must be registered at the Bar Council of Maldives.

Application Process

Interested applicants must submit the following documents:

• A clear scanned copy of the passport
• A recent passport size photograph
• A clear scanned copy of Bar council registration certificate

Participation Costs:

• Participants must bear all charges related to air tickets and accommodation.
• Accommodation will be arranged by the organizers on half board basis at a rate of approximately USD 280 - 300 per night per person.

Key Dates:

• 10 October 2025 – Arrival of Participants
• 11, 12 October 2025 – Seminar
• 13 October 2025 – Departure of Participants

This seminar will provide valuable knowledge on sport arbitration, dispute resolution procedures, jurisprudence, and best practices from leading regional arbitration institutions.
