REQUEST FOR BIDS
Supply, Delivery and Installation of Fire Detection and Protection System for Fuel Farm for Regional Waste Management Center-R.Vandhoo

The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Tourism and Environment and Ener has received financing from The World bank and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract under the contract for the project; Supply, Delivery and Installation of Fire Detection and Protection System for Fuel Farm for R.Vandhoo Regional Waste Management Facility”. The Ministry Hereby cancels the bids received in response to the Invitation number (IUL)438-WMPC/438/2024/555, due to change in the scope of works and re- invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders.
A complete set of bidding document shall be available to download in electronic format in the gazette along with the Invitation. Technical considerations will be specified in the tender document.
Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bid Registration
Interested bidders shall be registered to submit a bid. Registration will be open from the time of the publishing of this invitation until, 14:00hrs of 12th May 2025 via Email to [email protected] stating Reference No. of this Invitation, Project Name, Company name, email address and contact number. This tender is only open for registered parties.
Bid Security
The bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 20,000 (Twenty Thousand). The bid security shall be valid for 148 days from the date of the bid opening.
Bidder may submit a bid securing declaration instead of bid security. “Form for Bid Securing declaration” attached in 64th page of the bidding document shall be filled, Signed and submitted.
Pre-bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held in Saafu raajje building on 11:00am of May 4th 2025. Bidders who have not registered, may obtain further information by writing to the address below on or before 1000 Hours Maldivian time on May 1, 2025.
Bid Validity and Bid Opening
Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the Saafu Raajje building, Ministry of Tourism and Environment, before 11:00 AM (Maldivian Time) on 14 May 2025 Electronic Bidding will not be permitted and Late bids shall be rejected.
The bids will be opened at 11:00AM on 14th May 2025 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
