Allowances
|
- Facilitate employment opportunities for Persons with Disabilities by working closely with employers, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and update the register for PWDs seeking employment.
- Coordinate functional assessments, relevant training for PWDs and job placement efforts in collaboration with potential employers.
- Identify challenges and barriers faced by PWDs in accessing employment and propose strategies for inclusive workforce participation
- Collaborate with vocational training institutions, and labor market actors to create inclusive training and employment pathways for PWDs.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote inclusive workplaces and reasonable accommodations for PWDs.
- Coordinate efforts to improve the physical accessibility public spaces working with government organizations, private sector actors, and urban planners.
- Conduct accessibility assessments of public infrastructure identifying and reporting physical accessibility barriers.
- Work with with relevant stakeholders to implement accessibility enhancement in line with national and international standards.
- Advocate for the adoption of universal design principles in construction and urban development projects.
- Carryout any other related tasks assigned by the Section Head.

Responsibilities
|
- Master’s degree (level 9) in Social Science or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 7 or 8) in Social Science or related field with 1 to 2 years’ experience in a related field
|
