Position Overview
DBM is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Information Technology to spearhead the establishment and management of the bank's information technology (IT) infrastructure. As the Manager, Information Technology, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank's IT systems, ensuring they align with the bank’s vision for innovation, security, and scalability. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the technological foundation of a new and dynamic institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the bank’s IT strategy, aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Define and implement policies and standards for IT governance, cybersecurity, and risk management.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Identify and implement core banking solutions, payment systems, and customer service platforms.
- Design and oversee the deployment of the bank’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, data, software and networks.
- Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of banking systems to support operational needs.
- Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide expert advice on the adoption and implementation of new technologies to enhance the bank's operations and customer service.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to acquire and deploy necessary technologies.
- Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, networks and systems.
- Define IT department roles, structures and recruit additional team members as needed.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to build a high-performing Technology Team
- Act as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to executive management on IT projects, risks, and opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes in the financial technology space.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing core banking systems.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of core banking platforms, databases, and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for financial institutions.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
Salary: An attractive remuneration package and benefits package negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Contract Duration: 1 year starting from the commencement date. Renewable based on performance.
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm weekdays with 1 hour lunch break.
