REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

CONSULTING SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANTS (INTERNATIONAL)

The Government of Maldives has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives; Atolls Education Development Project (AEDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) includes all the tasks related to develop facilitate and conduct professional development programmes on STEM integration for in- service teachers in the Maldives. The assignment is to be for 06 (Six) months duration.

The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be obtained the address mentioned at the end of the document.

The Ministry of Education now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The selection criteria are:

• The candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of education with experience in teaching integrated disciplines of STEM education.
• The candidate must have at least 3 years of work experience in the field of disciplines related to STEM education working on innovative and creative solutions in teaching STEM education in international context.
• The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as a trainer in schools or educational institutions in delivering high quality training, with excellent training and facilitating skills.

A Consultant will be selected based on the EOI submitted and interview process.

The attention of interested Consultants, a consultant will be selected under the World Bank Procurement Regulation for IPF Borrowers November 2020, procurement in investment project financing goods, works, non-consulting and consulting services.
