Provision of Water Supply, Sanitation and Solid Waste Management Project

Request for Prospoal (RFP)

The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) is in the process of establishment of RO Plants and Storage Tanks under the project for the “Provision of Water Supply, Sanitation and Solid Waste Management Project” financed by OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and intends to procure the services of a consultancy firm to develop the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for four (04) islands- package 2, Maldives administered by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE).

This assignment includes preparation of EIA works for the establishment of RO Plants and Storage Tanks for the 4 islands (N. Holhudhoo, N. Maafaru, R. Maakurathu and R. Inguraidhoo) and Designing of Electricial panel board for RO Plants operation.

The overall tasks are to undertake the application process for the EIA works of the assignment, undertake the scoping or screening wherever applicable for the assignment, undertake field data collection survey and develop the EIA report as per the approved Terms of Reference by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) after the scoping meetings.

The Ministry of Environment and Energy now invites eligible consultants to submit proposals according to the TOR. The detail terms of reference for the consultancy is available to download from the ministry’s website (www.environment.gov.mv)

Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope titled “Consultancy Services for the Development of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for the Provision of RO Plants and Storage Tanks for package 2” to the address below on 14^th May 2017 at 1300 hours local time. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives at the address below on 14^th May 2017 at 1300 hours.
