Developer - Social Service Information Management System

Some information on the Objectives of the Project and Scope of work:

The project involves enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Social Information Management System, troubleshooting errors during implementation and building capacity of Ministry’s staffs to address these issues.

  • Providing technical support during implementation:
    • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
    • Address implementation issues and user feedback (resolving system bugs and performance issues).
    • Gather requirements from stakeholders to ensure the system meets their needs.
    • Develop additional modules and functionalities requested by the Ministry.
  • Project Documentation:
    • Develop detailed project documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
    • Ensure all documentation is comprehensive and easily understandable for future reference and maintenance.
  • Migration of Existing Data:
    • Plan and execute the migration of existing data to the new system.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the migration process.
    • Validate the migrated data to ensure it is complete and correctly formatted.
  • Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer:
    • Provide hands-on mentoring and knowledge transfer throughout the contract period to designated civil service staffs on system administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and future enhancements to ensure the long-term sustainability of the system.

Responsibilities

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or proven track record of technical expertise.
  2. At least 3 years of professional experience in software development.

 

Qualification and Experience required.

The Ministry of Social and Family Development now invites interested individuals qualified for the assignments to submit Expression of Interest inclusive of the following documentation to demonstrate your eligibility for the assignment.

2. CV including information that demonstrates that the candidate is qualified to undertake the scope of work.

5. Copies of attested academic qualification certificates accredited by Maldives Qualification Authority.

6. Reference letters from current and/or previous employers.

Deadlines and submission of application

The coordination developer will report directly to the supervisor assigned by the Ministry.

The short-listed candidate will be requested to participate in personal interviews and submit the names and contact details of personal referees who can attest to their ability.

 

Shortlisting

An interview will be held between 19th July 2026 – 13th August 2026 at Ministry of Health Family and Welfare. Time will be notified by Email.
