Job Responsibilities

- Assist and cooperate with Technical Superintendent efficiently
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining a safe, cost-effective and environmentally sound operation standard in compliance with Company’s HSSEQ System for a given number of vessels
- Managed day‑to‑day technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring continuous compliance with class, flag state, and statutory requirements
- Monitored vessel reports and performance data, initiated corrective actions, and coordinated with internal departments and external bodies as required
- Follow up on class and statutory certification status, condition of class and arrange for the necessary surveys and inspections
- Planned, arranged, and monitored vessel repairs, maintenance, and service attendance to minimize downtime and control costs.
- Conducted regular vessel visits and prepared detailed inspection and visit reports for management review
- Prepared technical input for annual vessel budgets and monitored expenditure against approved budgets
- Prepare annual and quarterly management reports for department head approval
- Coordinated dry‑docking activities including preparation of specifications, obtaining and evaluating yard quotations, and presenting recommendations to senior management
- Monitored vessel requisitions and purchasing activities, ensuring timely submission and follow‑up of orders.
- Liaise with the Insurance Manager in claims handling
- Actively participated in the company’s Emergency Response Team for assigned vessels.
- Follow up reported deficiencies and non-conformities from vetting inspections, port state control, audits and flag state inspections and keep HSSEQ department advised of corrective action and closure
