Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join Hanimaadhoo International Airport as a Firefighter Trainee.

The successful candidate will support airport rescue and firefighting operations by assisting in emergency response, participating in safety drills, maintaining firefighting equipment, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and secure airport environment.

 Minimum Qualification & Experience:

Completed O’ Levels with 3 passes

Additional requirements:

1. Candidate must be between 18 to 30 years of age.
2. Ability to complete the physical fitness test (IPPT+PAT)

Responsibilities

1. Attend aircraft and domestic incidents, performing rescue and firefighting operations.
2. Respond promptly to all fires and emergencies, ensuring swift and effective action.
3. Provide specialized services including fuel spill washdowns, fire escorts, hot work standby, fueling standby, and hazardous cargo standby.
4. Participate in drills, lectures, fire exercises, and physical training to maintain readiness.
5. Perform cleaning and upkeep of the fire station and firefighting equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
6. Inspect, test, and report on fire safety equipment under ARFF jurisdiction.
7. Check all items and equipment carried on ARFF fire vehicles/vessels, ensuring their serviceability.
8. Perform watch room duties, maintaining vigilance and readiness.
9. Maintain a state of alertness, ready to always respond to emergencies.
10. Familiarize with and follow ARFF Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent and effective operations.
11. Must be medically and physically fit as per ARFF Medical/physical Requirement.
