Demand letter

We are seeking to recruit talented and qualified Therapists to work in hospitals/ health centers which is under ministry of Health in Maldives.

Required number of health professionals

Minimum Criteria and Qualification:  

Speech Therapist:

• Degree in Speech Therapy with 02 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years. 

Behavioral Therapist:

• Degree in Behavioral Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis, including a clinically supervised practicum, with 02 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Occupational Therapist:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with 02 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Psychotherapist:

• Master’s Degree in Counselling or Psychotherapy with 07 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Physiotherapist:

• Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy recognized by the Maldives Allied Health Council.
• 02 years of work experience in a 50-bed or above hospital within the last 02 years.
• Permanent Basic Registration Certificate from the local Allied Health Council.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) would be an added advantage.
• Age: Preferably below 35 years.

 Other Information  

• Medical Benefits: Ministry of Health will bear the cost of premium for enrolment in a health insurance scheme as decided by MOH. 
• Visa: Visa fees will only be paid to the employee. 
• Police Clearance Certificate: All candidates must have the police clearance certificate (Minimum 3 months’ validity) upon signing the contract 

The maximum number of application applicable per agency is as follows 

1. Speech Therapist:(Maximum 10 Applications)
2. Behavioral Therapist: (Maximum 10 Applications)
3. Occupational Therapist: (Maximum 10 Applications)
4. Psychotherapist: (Maximum 10 Applications)
5. Physiotherapist : (Maximum 05 Applications)

Special Note

• Selected candidates shall be required to undertake a competency examination conducted by the Faculty of Health Sciences and must successfully pass both the examination and the Maldives Allied Health Council interview in order to obtain the Letter of Appointment, if applicable.

How to Apply

• Any Application received other than the mentioned time period will be disregarded. 
• Registered Agencies shall submit their application forms via Google Application Form. 
• Registered agencies must submit the documents specified for each category in the google form any document submitted otherwise will be disregarded.
