1. The Republic of Maldives has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives Urban Development and Resilience Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply and Delivery of Emergency Vehicle for National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
2. The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Emergency Vehicle for NDMA.
3. The delivery period is 90 days.Margin of Preference is not applicable. Eligible bidders are required to quote for 100% of the items.
4. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procurement method using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers Seventh Edition- September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
5. The Bidder shall furnish a Bid Security for the project for the amountof MVR 30,000.00. The Bid Security shall be valid for 148 days from the bid submission date.
6. Any clarifications to the project may be sent to the address in clause 10 of this invitation for bids on or before 1300hrs (local time) Thursday, 20th November 2025.
7. The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below from 4th November 2025 to 20th November 2025. The document will be sent by email.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1300hrs (local time) Tuesday, 25th November 2025. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend.
9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
