1. Introduction

The Ministry of social and family Development is interested in designing an official logo to brand and market products made persons with disabilities in the Maldives. The logo serves as a brand identity representing small businesses that provide creative opportunities for persons with disabilities.

2. Objectives of the Logo

a)  To establish a brand/platform that markets products made by persons with disabilities.

b)  To increase public awareness, recognition, and acceptance of the creative work of persons with disabilities.

c)  To be used in packaging, labeling, and promotional materials of such products and facilitate small businesses for persons with disabilities.

3. Artist Eligibility criteria

a)  Must be a Maldivian citizen.

b)  Must be above 16 years of age

c) The submitted design must be original work of the artist (A.I generated work will not be accepted)

d) Person with a disability must be registered in the Maldives National Disability Registry by NSPA

OR  

Guardian must be registered as the guardian of person with disability in National Disability Registry

4. Logo Design Guidelines

a)  Should reflect Maldivian culture and identity.

b)  Must not contain any imagery sensitive to religion, or nudity.

c) Must symbolize disability, inclusion, empowerment, and productivity.

d)  Must be simple, clear, and adaptable to various formats (digital and print).

e)  It should be versatile to be used in both color and black & white format.

5. Submission Requirements

a) Logo should be submitted in high-resolution image formats.

b) Final files must include PNG/JPG and vector formats (EPS/SVG).

c)  Artist must submit the following documents with the Logo files:

Completed logo submission form (available in ENGLISH and DHIVEHI format)

Copy of National ID card

Copy of Disability card

d) Submissions can be sent via

6. Logo Evaluation

a) Submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel appointed by the Ministry of Social and Family.

b)  Designs will be evaluated on creativity, reflection of the objective and relevance to use.

c)  The winning logo will receive MVR 5,000 and a certificate of recognition by the Ministry.

d) Once the logo is officially endorsed, the Ministry will reserve the right to make minor modifications to the logo for official use.

a)  Submission Deadline: 15^th October 2025

b)  Selection of Winning Logo: within 1-2 weeks after deadline.
