Job Responsibilities
|
- Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards (IFRS and IAS).
- Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure regulatory compliance by implementing necessary adjustments.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the department by implementing company policies and procedures.
- Manage finance personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure completion of management reports and other regulatory reports within the stipulated deadlines.
- Manage cashflow and investments to maintain liquidity and financial stability.
- Optimize working capital and treasury functions to minimize financial risks.
- Track KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Work with executive management to develop budgets, cashflow forecasting, financial strategies, and long-term fiscal plans.
- Evaluate and manage capital structure, debt financing, and fundraising initiatives.
- Make informed investment decisions to strengthen the company’s market position.
- Oversee internal controls, audits, and financial policies to mitigate risks.
- Oversee financial IT systems, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Monitor business performance using tracking tools and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Support special projects assigned by Head of Department and senior management.

Required Qualifications
|
- Master’s Degree or MNQF Level 9 qualification in Accounting & Finance and/or a member of CPA / CIMA / ACCA with 3+ years of experience in a managerial accounting position.
OR
- Bachelor's Degree or MNQF Level 8 qualification in Accounting & Finance with 5+ years of experience in a managerial accounting position

Preferred Qualifications
|
- The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, possess good communication and organizational skill.
- Fluent in Dhivehi/English both written and spoken.
- Excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and IAS.
- Proficiency with accounting software / Microsoft Office Applications.
- Able to work under pressure, independently and willing to work long hours.
- Positive working attitude and a good team player.
- Preferably, candidate must be able to commence work immediately.
