Job Description

Data Entry & Transaction Processing

  • Accurately enter financial transactions and customer receipts into the accounting system.
  • Generate and issue payment receipts and ensure proper documentation and filing.
  • Post basic journal entries under supervision and assist in maintaining ledgers.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports such as transaction summaries and payment schedules.

Customer Service & Communications

  • Respond to routine customer queries regarding payments, balances, and statements
  • Guide customers on payment procedures and escalate complex queries to senior staff when required.

Banking & Reconciliation

  • Assist in preparing bank deposit slips, maintaining banking records, and coordinating with banks for transaction-related matters.
  • Support bank reconciliation activities by matching system entries against bank statements.
  • Reconcile account balances and prepare supporting documentation for audit and internal review.

Reporting Support

  • Assist in compiling financial data required for audit, compliance, and internal reporting.
  • Participate in month-end closing activities including tracking accruals and updating relevant schedules.

Documentation

  • Organize and maintain files for tax, pension, and withholding obligations.
  • Support scanning, photocopying, and general administrative tasks required by the Finance Department.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and customer data handled in the course of work.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Deliver or collect banking or finance-related documents to and from external parties as needed.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager to support departmental operations.

Job Requirements & other competencies

  • Minimum 4 passes in O’ Level including accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills in both Dhivehi and English.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Salary: MVR 6,000.00

Working Hours: The selected candidate will be required to work from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs., from Sunday – Thursday.
