  • Assist IT Team to support requests via different channels such as phone calls, emails, or ticketing systems, and accurately log all the relevant information provided by the users to ensure efficient troubleshooting.
  • Assist IT Team in diagnose and troubleshoot the reported support requests or issues by identifying the root cause of the problem and provide effective solutions or workarounds to resolve it
  • Provide first-level technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Help Manage user accounts and access permissions.
  • Monitor IT systems and ensure timely issue resolution and system updates.
  • Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
  • Support the IT networking Team in daily operation
  • Clean the existing data of the ministry and analyze data to support departmental goals and initiatives.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Excel, Power BI, Google Analytics or other tools used in the industry
  • Assist in maintaining databases and ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Provide insights and suggestions based on data trends.
  • Attend to any other IT or data related work or tasks assigned by the Section Head.

Additional Skills as an Advantage

  • Strong commitment and willingness to work outside official working hours when required.
  • When required, able to travel to Ministry’s offices/centers in the greater Male’ area and across the atolls for carrying out IT or related tasks/activities.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g: Python, R) is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team and work independently.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to approach challenges creatively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and communicate issues clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diploma (level 5 or 6) in Science / Information Technology / or related field with 2 years of work experience in a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree (level 7 or 8) in Science / Information Technology / or related field related field.
  • Must be result oriented and proactive
  • Profiecient in computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and tasks efficiently

The Ministry of Social and Family Development now invites interested individuals qualified for the assignments to submit Expression of Interest inclusive of the following documentation to demonstrate your eligibility for the assignment.

  1. Cover Letter for Expression of Interest.
  2. CV including information that demonstrates that the candidate is qualified to undertake the scope of work.
  3. Copy of National Identification CardWork experience documentation. (Description of similar assignments, and experiences in similar field of work).
  4. Copies of attested academic qualifications certificate accridet by Maldives Qualification Authority.
  5. Reference letters from current and/or previous employers.

Job Deadline

Interview will held between 29th April 2025– 20th May 2025 in Ministry of Social and Family Development.
