Consultancy Service to Revise the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan – Global Biodiversity Framework Early Action Support Project

The Government of Maldives has received funding through Global Environment Facility for the alignment of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework into the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan. This Project known as “Global Biodiversity Framework Early Action Support (GBF EAS)” is assisted by UNDP and is comprised of the following components.

• Component 1: Rapid review of NBSAP for alignment with the post-2020 GBF
• Component 2: Assessment of monitoring systems
• Component 3: Policy and institutional alignment and review for coherence with Global Biodiversity Framework

The Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy is now seeking consultancy for the updating of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan for a duration of 10 months to complete the activities under Component 1 and 2 of the GBF EAS Project.

Bid Validity and Bid Opening

Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, before 10:00 AM Maldivian Time on 06 June 2024 (Thursday). Late bids will be rejected.

The bids will be opened at 10:05 AM on 06 June 2024  (Thursday). in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
