The announcement no. (IUL)22-E/22/2022/376 (11^th December 2022) for Procurement of books for the improvement of English language of students (RFB Reference Number: MV-MOE-266182-GO-RFB) has been cancelled as the submitted Bids did not meet all requirements.

1. The Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives Learning and Measurement Advancement Project (LAMP) (P172631, RE), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the books for the improvement of English language of students.
2. The Ministry of Education of the Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to deliver the books within 45 days to 60 days of contract signing.
3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information by writing to [email protected], and inspect the bidding document before 1100 hours of Tuesday, 04^th July 2023.
4. Information session will be held at Ministry of Education, Velaanaage 8^th floor, 11:00 hours, 21^st June 2023. Parties who wish to join the information session through online, kindly request for the registration through email [email protected]meeting link will be share on later date. Bids will not be accepted by those parties who do not attend this information session.
5. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.    
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Wednesday, 05^th July 2023, 1100 hours Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on Wednesday, 05^th July 2023, 1100 hours Maldives Time. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand) and USD 1,298.00 (Twelve Hundred and Ninety-Eight)
