ANNOUNCEMENT
The following amendment is made to the Bidding Document for the Lease, Development, Operation and Management of Tourist Resorts pursuant to the Invitation for Bids (IFB) number (IUL) 88-PS/88/2021/88 dated 31st October 2021 and Instruction to Bidders (ITB) pursuant to the Civil Court’s Injunction No. 144-B5/VA/2022/1 (12th February 2022)
- Removal of the islands Dhigurah, Medhurah and Mairah (Dhiguvelidhoo) in Shaviyani Atoll from the list of islands included under the First amendment (Reference Number: (IUL)88-PS/88/2022/7), dated 17th January 2022, to the Bidding Document for the Lease, Development, Operation and Management of Tourist Resorts, to be leased under the announcement (IUL) 88-PS/88/2021/88 dated 31st October 2021.
Hence, the following Clauses of the Invitation for Bids (IFB) & Instructions to Bidders (ITB) are to be amended as below.
a) Clause 1 of the IFB:
- The Government of Maldives (hereinafter referred to as the “Government”) represented by the Ministry of Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the “Ministry”), hereby announces public tendering for the lease, development, operation and management of a Tourist Resort in the below mentioned uninhabited islands or plot of land in uninhabited island (hereinafter referred to as the “Islands”), with the specified number of beds (a copy of the map of the islands is attached as Annex III).

b) Clause 5 of the IFB:
5. The Bidder is required to propose an amount of no less than below specified amounts which shall be paid to the Government as the lease acquisition cost (hereinafter referred to as the “LAC”) of the Islands, to be paid, on or before 60 (Sixty) days from date of the Letter of Award for the acquisition of the leasehold rights of the islands(hereinafter referred to as the “LOA”).

d) Clause 3.5 of the ITB:
