JOB OPPORTUNITY:

 MEDICAL OFFICER

We are seeking for Local and Foreign Medical Officers.

SALARY PACKAGE:

- As per the salary structure of Ministry of Health for Medical Officers.

Scope of work:

1. Check patients and is responsible for impeccable documentation initiating and updating the admission records, progress notes, operation notes and other procedures notes, discharge summary, leave and death certificate and any other relevant documentation. In addition, notifies any deaths, notifiable disease, or disease under surveillance to medical records as required by MOH.
2. Follow-up on results of investigations requested and inform the relevant specialist and carryout subsequent orders given.
3. Follow up on instruction with regard to scheduling and preparing patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, along with relevant documentations like completion of informed consent form before surgery and anesthesia.
4. Prescribes medication to inpatients and out patients in accordance with departmental protocols and instructions from seniors.
5. Explain to the patients and his/ her relative about the progress of the patient’s condition daily after ward round as per the advice of treating specialist.
6. Complete all the work that were assigned during the shift before leaving the work place, at the end of the shift.
7. Give handover to the doctor relieving you (hand-over should include, detailed conditions of serious patients, and plan for such patients including frequency of follow-up visits to them and if there are any pending works, reasons for not been able to complete that work, and what needs to be done).
8.  Participation in national emergencies as well as an emergency involving patient care, transfer of side patients within the country or a broad must be obliged as per the organization’s policies.
9. Attend meetings and CME programs of the hospital.
10. In addition to the above specific tasks, should execute any other reasonable orders from seniors, HOD, Head of the Hospital and other relevant authorities.

Eligibility Criteria:

• MBBS degree or Doctor of Medicine which is accepted by Maldives Medical and Dental with one year internship in a teaching hospital
• Must have a valid registration and license issued from Maldives Medical and Dental Council
