Recruitment of National Consultant to Develop the 6th National Report on Biodiversity of the Maldives to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)
Due to change in evaluation criteria of the previous announcement, Ref No: (IUL)438-ENV/438/2018/92 dated 18 March 2018, we would like to cancel the previous announcement and re-invite interested eligible consultants to submit their Proposals
The government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) has received financial assistance from Global Environment Facility (GEF) administered by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) towards preparation of the Sixth National Report (6NR) on Biodiversity to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) to which Maldives is party since 1992. 6NR is prepared under Article 26 of the Convention and Decision XIII/27 of the Conference of the Parties of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
Scope of work under the contract includes preparation of 6th National report on Biodiversity to the Convention on Biological Diversity with the key components including, but not limited to:
(i) Produce a template for collecting data and information required for the report,
(ii) Gather information and data
(iii) Compile the information to be submitted to the CBD to produce the 6th National Report
The Ministry of Environment and Energy is seeking consultancy service for a period of 08 months to provide consultancy service, to prepare the 6th National Report of Maldives to CBD.
The Ministry of Environment and Energy now invites interested eligible consultants to submit their Proposals. Interested consultants must provide information that demonstrates ability to perform the services detailed in the Terms of Reference.
Interested consultants may obtain additional information from the “Terms of Reference” attached to this advertisement. The “Terms of Reference” will also be available for download in the Ministry’s website www.environment.gov.mv. Deadline to Submit Proposals
Applications must be delivered in sealed envelopes titled “Local Consultant for the preparation of the 6th National Report on Biodiversity, Maldives” on or before 1200 hrs on 29th March 2018, to the below address. Electronic bidding will also be not be accepted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives, who choose to attend in person at the address below on 1300 hrs on 29th March 2018.
