Request for Expressions of Interest

 

The government of Maldives has received Aid for the Enhancing Education Development Project (EEDP), administered by the World Bank and to be implemented by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Under the project, MoE will finance the improvement and/or expansion of schools across the country.

As part of the implementation requirements, an Environmental and Social Assessment (ESA) has been carried out at 13 sites, followed by Environmental and Social Assessment and Management Framework (ESAMF).

The Ministry of Education seeks an Environmental Specialist Consultant to undertake overall policy and technical direction for environmental safeguards management under the Project (as defined by the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF).

Expressions of Interest need to be submitted along with the CV, reference letter, validated documents supporting the candidate’s qualifications and experience, and the attested copy of ID card/Passport before 22nd January 2018, 13:00pm for the following position.

            Objective

  • The objective of this consultancy is to provide overall policy and technical direction for environmental safeguards management under the Project (as defined by the Environmental and Social Management Frameworks (ESMFs).

 

          Terms of Reference

         Duration of service and terms of payment

  • The service is for a period of 6 weeks or any other time frame agreed by both parties. The consultant will be hired as a specialist/consultant under the project. This is a lump sum contract and will be paid on completion of the assignment outputs in accordance with the agreed rate.
