Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) PLC, established in January 2004, is the only specialized housing finance institution in the Maldives. HDFC is a privatized company with International Shareholders represented by International Finance Corporation (IFC of World Bank Group), Asian Development Bank and HDFC Investments Ltd. of India, jointly holding 51% of shares.

In accordance with our business plan, HDFC Plc has a vacancy for the right candidate who can provide support to the IT Team of the company in the capacity of a Software Developer.

Key Tasks & Major Responsibilities:-   

• Develop systems to integrate the major business processes along with core banking applications and extranet portals for customers.
• Study the relationship between banking/financial environments and complex software application systems.
• Work with both internal and external users and deliver timely components and application resolutions.
• Test applications in accordance with the standards.
• Write, revise and maintain Application documentation, operations documentation and End-user guidelines.

Required Qualification & Experience

• University Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or Information Technology
• Should be able to design, code and develop production level applications independently
• Should have strong knowledge and skills in PHP or .NET Technologies
• Understanding in web technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery
• Should have knowledge of database management systems, either MSSQL Server and MySQL

Additional Advantages: -

• Strong programming background with knowledge in modular based programming and use of latest trends.
• Experience in MVC based application development.
• Good graphics skills and knowledge in user experience design.
• Knowledge in full software development cycle including project formulating, version control and maintenance after deployment.
• Good Project planning, Management and execution skills.
• Software Engineering/Programming or IT Related Professional Certificates
• Excellent Knowledge of English both in the form communication and deliverables
• Ability to deliver effective results, and meet deadlines in achieving targets

Salary

• Negotiable commensurate with qualifications and experience
