The Government of Maldives (GoM) is preparing to implement the “Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY)” Project. The project is funded by the World Bank. The objective of the project is to improve the relevance of technical and vocational skills and foster entrepreneurship to promote youth employment in priority sectors. The project is being administered by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), with a Project Steering Committee that will be co-chaired by the MoHE and the Ministry of Economic Development.

 

Advertisement for individual consultant published on 10th October 2019, Ref (IUL)475/475/2019/149 is cancelled due to inadequate application and new invitation for EOI is open for interested candidates. 

 

As part of this project MoHE seeks an Individual to carry out the Consultation to Conduct a Comprehensive Training Needs Analysis of the Construction Sector. Expressions of Interest need to be submitted along with the CV(s), reference letter, validated documents supporting the candidate’s qualifications and experience on or before 12:00 am, 31st October 2019.

Duration of service and terms of payment

The service is for a period of Three months. The consultant will be hired as a specialist/consultant under the project. This is a lump sum contract and will be paid on completion of the assignment outputs in accordance with the agreed rate.

  • Note: Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the ‘World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers’ Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (hereafter referred to as the “Regulations”).
