INVITATION FOR BIDS

Construction of 24,000 Liter Oil Storage Tank in R.Vandhoo

IFB No.: 025/4427-MAL

1- The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Maldives Environmental Management Project (MEMP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the Contract for Construction of 24,000 Liter Oil Storage Tank in R.Vandhoo.

2- Ministry of Environment and Energy (the Employer), invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Construction of 24,000 Liter Oil Storage Tank in R.Vandhoo.

3- Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

4- Qualifications requirements are stated in the Bidding Document.

5- Interested bidders should express in writing their intention to bid before 1500 hours on 06th April 2015 to the address specified above in Clause 6 of this Invitation for Bids to be eligible to participate in the bid. A complete set of the Bidding Documents is published in the Ministry of Environment and Energy website www.environment.gov.mv for the information of potential bidders.

7- All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration as specified in the bidding documents.

8- Bids shall be valid for a period of 91 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to Ministry of Environment and Energy at the address specified above in Clause 6 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1400 hours Maldivian time on 07th April 2015, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
